Many other services might be provided so be sure to note these as well.
SCN offers e-mail via both dial-up and telenet connections, and also
offers web mail. It offers
access to local newsgroups, including
ones focused on SCN. It offers a number of e-mail
lists on a variety of topics. SCN hosts web

SCN conveys a rich sense of place. It lists web sites for a wide variety of Seattle organizations, including ones that focus upon issues outside of Seattle. By browsing all of these web sites, one gets an idea of what kind of place Seattle is, more so than one would get looking at a tourist brochure.
9. Is there anything that you find particularly interesting about this network? If so what is it? Provide a link.
One thing that I find interesting about SCN is that it does not limit membership only to people in Seattle. Anyone throughout the world can sign up for an account on SCN. In fact, I myself have an account on SCN! Also I find the Peace Heathens Crisis Resource Directory particularly interesting.
