The Department of Geography and Meteorology is pleased to announce a tenure-track opening in our meteorology program.

Meteorology Job Announcement:

The Department of Geography and Meteorology at Valparaiso University announces a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning August, 2009. Candidates must have a strong background and interest in teaching dynamics-based synoptic meteorology. In addition, the successful candidate will teach courses in areas that may include general meteorology, physical meteorology, instrumentation, satellite meteorology, aviation meteorology, or numerical modeling. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in meteorology or atmospheric science and a strong desire and ability to excel in undergraduate teaching, advising, and scholarly work in a large, dynamic program. Those with broad backgrounds, interdisciplinary skills, and laboratory computer applications training are especially encouraged to apply.
