Valpo offers many study-abroad opportunities, including three in Germany.
Many German majors select a full-year opportunity in the beautiful medieval university town of Tübingen. Located in southwest Germany between the Swabian Jura and the Black Forest, Tübingen is the perfect place to immerse yourself in language and culture while sampling courses from a full array of offerings at the Eberhard Karls Universität.
If you prefer to spend only one semester in Germany, then Reutlingen is for you. Twenty students per semester study under supervision of a Valpo professor on the campus of the Hochschule Reutlingen.
Students enrolled in VIEP-German (Valpo's International Engineering Program) are in a special category: they study at the Hochschule Reutlingen in the fall semester and then take a cooperative-education position in Germany during the spring semester and summer.
Rottenburg am Neckar:
A third opportunity is for students who double major in German and music (church music option): these students may spend spring semester of the junior year in Rottenburg am Neckar at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik. Students interested in this opportunity should contact the Director of the German House as early as possible.

Scholarships for Study Abroad:
Be sure to read about scholarships that are available to assist with study-abroad expenses.
Whichever study-abroad option you choose, the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center is the right place to live before and after your time abroad.
