1.  As soon as possible take a tour of the residential section of the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center (the second floor).  Valpo's German Club meets there so you'll have a chance to see what the rooms, suites, and common areas look like.

2.  Come to the annual information meeting in December; you'll hear about the meeting in your German class.  If you still haven't toured the German House this will be a chance.

3.  Complete the application form in January.  It has three main sections: a basic facts and figures section, an essay that explains why you wish to live in the German House, and your grade transcript.

4.  Have your current RA fill out the recommendation form.  The selection committee wants to know how well you contribute to good community living at Valpo.

The application is always due in late January; students are informed of their selection status before regular room selection begins.
