Film Screening: The Ossis of Namibia (Gralow, Pitann, and Thull, 2006)

Part of the "Focus on Africa" Series, sponsored by the Department
of Foreign Languages and Literature, this documentary tells the story
of the children orphaned during Namibia's liberation struggle who found a
home in the GDR, but found themselves homeless again in 1990 when the
GDR ceased to exist. A fascinating story that poses questions about
personal and cultural identity.
