- ICP Student building strong background in Indiana politics
- Robert W. J. Ordway, of the International Commerce & Policy program, is building a strong background in the field of Indiana politics through two internships and an upcoming leadership academy.
Ordway has spent the Fall 2009 semester as an intern in Mayor Costas’s office. He has been earning credit towards his master’s degree while conducting a complex study about the efficiency of purchasing actions within all city departments.
During the Spring 2010 semester, Ordway will take his newly acquired knowledge to the state capitol, where he will be interning for the House Republicans. He has also been selected as a member of the upcoming Indiana Leadership Forum (http://www.indianaleadershipforum.com/index.htm), which Ordway describes as a training program to help developing Republican leaders hone their skills regarding campaign management, fundraising, and other government activities.
