Non-Degree Studies

Talking at VUSome individuals enjoy and appreciate the challenge of high-level intellectual exploration in the company of other adults, but do not need to obtain a specific degree for career or personal reasons. These persons must apply and be admitted to the Graduate Division, but are welcome to follow their own interests in the course of study they choose.

Professional Educators currently active in elementary or secondary education but not seeking licensing, as well as visiting students seeking degrees at other universities, may also take courses without formal admission to a degree program.

If you become a non-degree scholar and later wish to change to degree-seeking status, up to nine credits earned as a non-degree student may apply toward the degree program.
