International Students
The Graduate School and the Office of International Programs (OIP) are here to welcome you to Valpo’s campus. The following steps will help you transition to your new community.
STEP 1: Pre-Arrival
Your first step is to complete the OIP’s pre-arrival immigration and new student checklist. Please be sure to review all pre-arrival emails from OIP. This information is also available here.
STEP 2: Confirm Enrollment
New Graduate Students for the upcoming semester should complete their intent to enroll in graduate studies at Valparaiso University by completing the Enrollment Confirmation Form (linked below). Students admitted into the DNP program must pay the tuition deposit in order to reserve their seat (instructions for which will be emailed to them upon admission). If you have any issues completing this form, please let us know at NewStudent.Programs@valpo.edu
STEP 3: Sign Up for Orientation
Orientation will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, for all International Students. Please see the below schedule.
STEP 4: Attend Orientation
Your attendance at the New Graduate Student Orientation is critical to your academic success and connection to University resources. Your attendance is required on all days. If you are starting classes in an upcoming semester, your orientation information is below.
Orientation Schedule
Graduate Student Orientation check-in will start at 8:00 a.m. in the Harre Union at 1509 Chapel Dr, Valparaiso IN, 46383. A full schedule will be sent to you after registration and prior to the event.
First Semester Registration
Prior to registration, you will need to schedule time with your advisor listed in your admission letter. Your advisor will create a course plan for you to use for registration. First-semester registration can be completed through Self-Service. Your advisor can guide you through this system once you receive a visa.
