In addition to making contributions to the University Guild's Endowment Fund, members often work together to provide fundraising or gather to socialize with other Valpo supporters.  To plan a University Guild event, please complete THIS FORM online (or print the form using this PDF proposal form). The Guild office will assist members with funds, will provide alumni and member lists, and will help promote University Guild events.

Once the event is over, please remit any funds and share a summary of the event.  We like to track member volunteer hours, so please share lists of who helped and who attended.  Use this online remittance form (and mail the funds by check or money order) or print this PDF evaluation form.

Members who want to sell pecans for the University Guild can use these pecan instructions.  Whenever selling something as a Guild fundraiser, please include this info slip to help the customer know that they are helping to support students at Valparaiso University.

Here are ideas for University Guild Fundraising:

• Sell pecans in the fall and/or spring.  Customers love to bake with pecans.  Some recommended companies are Schermer Pecans, Osage Pecans, Terri Lynn.
• Contact a local winery or brewery about having a tasting for the University Guild.
• Host a home-based business party with proceeds benefiting the Guild.
• Host a luncheon with a prominent speaker or musical entertainment. 
• Use GoodSearch and GoodShop as your search engine or online shopping portal.  Enter Valparaiso University Guild as your charity and each time you do a search, GoodSearch makes a donation to the Guild!  GoodShop.com is the new online marketplace that donates a percentage of your online purchase to the Guild
• Host a bake sale or rummage sale with earnings supporting the Guild.

How to Serve

Members can also support the Guild by telling other Valpo supporters about the great projects we are able to do for Valpo students.  Spread the word by sharing the monthly E-UPDATE or the Guild Bulletin.
