Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Founded in 1859, Valparaiso University is an independent Lutheran University with an enrollment of approximately 4,000 students. Position: University Registrar

 Responsibilities:

The University Registrar reports to the Vice President for Enrollment and is responsible for the administration and management of academic records and services for students and faculty; management of all aspects of curriculum; preparation of curricular materials used by students and faculty; scheduling of academic calendar and courses; management of student registration; oversight of student completion of degree requirements, degree audits, and grades processing; management of transcript and enrollment certification services; preparation of ad hoc report request; provision of support services for internal governance committees; collaboration with the School of Law Registrar on University processing, policies, and initiatives; and enforcement of academic policies and protection of the integrity of all student academic records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, with at least 5 years of higher education experience in a Registrar's Office or related field with supervisory responsibilities. Must have excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated leadership ability and experience; strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; a strong commitment to effective and efficient student services; and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Experience with student management software required, experience with database management and web-based services desired.
