Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Experience/Skills:

  • Must be physically able to do the work and have a valid Indiana driver's license.
  • Maintain safety, work closely with others in a team, dealing with different points of view and personalities.
  • Deal with weather-related issues and emergencies, adjusting daily priorities based on need and directives from Team Leaders. Will be trained on all equipment.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader of Building Services, ensures a well-maintained facility to foster an environment that promotes educational programs of excellence.

Maintain the property in a safe and reliable condition. Maintain good communication with internal/external personnel and internal/external customers. Provide the campus community with the attractive and maintained building setting that available resources allow. Provide appropriate setting for the many campus special events and set-ups. Provide a clean comfortable and healthy environment.

  • Disinfect and clean in assigned areas, remove trash.
  • Check and fill dispensers.
  • Clean flooring, scrub/strip and apply sealer/finish by following Building service procedures.
  • Change light bulbs as needed.
  • Unlock/lock buildings, check doors and windows.
  • Keep entrances safe and clean by removing debris.
  •  May need to run/small or large equipment or use special tools or cleaning aides.
  • Set up and teardown tables, chairs and stages for special events.
  • Read journals, website to identify new products and methods.
  • Participate in the STOP safety program to promote safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Report when equipment needs repair or replacement.
