High School Diploma Experience/Skills:
- Dispatcher experience preferred but will train.
- Able to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computers
- IDACS Certified or willing to complete training to become certified
Job Summary:
The dispatcher must be able to multi-task and know exactly how to respond to any emergency that might arise. Must be able to prioritize and react while under stressful situations.
- Answering calls and dispatching officers
- Monitoring alarms
- Managing the after hours switchboard
- Answering general information questions
- Handle parking and traffic issues
- Vehicle registration
- Dispatching Special Services for students
