Job Summary: | The Marketing Assistant for Integrated Marketing and Communications supports the mission of Valparaiso University by helping design and implement strong marketing communications strategies that advance the mission and vision of Valpo with members of the campus community. The marketing assistant must possess strong knowledge of the brand in order to manage it, approve submissions, and reject as necessary; the ability to build positive relationships with members of the campus community and offer solutions to an array of marketing communications challenges. As part of the above, the marketing assistant will work closely with other members of the IMC team to coordinate University branding with related marketing activities and special events. As an assistant on special events, a high-profile professionalism must be exhibited as the events include Commencement, events at the President's residence, and others. An integral role will be the manager of the University's website calendaring. This will occur in conjunction with the department representatives actually responsible for the room reservation; and the information will be transferred to the website.
