Job Summary: | Valparaiso University Law School invites applicants for the position of Associate Administrator for the Law Library. Valparaiso University Law School is located in Northwest Indiana and is part of a residential community with excellent public school and other resources. It is approximately ten miles from Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore as well as one hour from downtown Chicago. The law school is an integral part of Valparaiso University, Lutheran affiliated institution founded in 1859 and known for its outstanding liberal arts education and professional programs. The Associate Administrator for the Law Library is responsible for providing support to the Associate Dean of Library and Information Services, assisting with acquisitions and vendor relations, assisting with the legal research course, and providing general support to the law librarians as needed. This includes handling vendor contracts and invoices, distributing serials, coordinating claims, and receiving and sorting the mail for the law school. Additionally the Associate Administrator for the Law Library will act as a liaison between the Associate Dean of Library and Information Services and faculty, staff, students, alumni and the general public.
