Job Summary: | This position provides administrative support to the Office of Residential Life, New Student Orientation, and Leadership and Volunteer Programs and reports to the Assistant Dean of Students for Residential Life, Assistant Dean of Students for First Year & Commuter Student Programs, and Assistant Dean of Students for Greek Life, Leadership & Volunteer Programs. Specific Responsibilities: General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support for Office of Residential Life, New Student Orientation, and Leadership and Volunteer Programs; includes coordinating meetings with staff, student organizations, FOCUS, and various committees and administrative personnel. Provide administrative assistant coverage for Office of Student Affairs in the absence of the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Answer telephone calls and respond to e-mails to provide general information to students, parents, faculty, staff and others regarding Residential Life, New Student Orientation, and Leadership and Volunteer Programs. Maintain accurate financial/budget records; order supplies for departments; process monthly credit card statements. Prepare correspondence and reports as requested. Communicate regularly with other University offices; liaison with University support staff. Supervisor student aides; process payroll information related to student aides. Office of Residential Life Administrative Support: Verify student residency status and assist in the enforcement of the University housing policy; assist with data entry into the Datatel information system; process letters regarding Housing Appeals Committee outcomes; coordinate off-campus rental listings including mailing to community property owners; prepare a listing available to students; collect and deposit payments for Guild/Memorial guest rooms and Scheele guest rooms, rental listings; assist with the processing of housing-related forms and documentation. New Student Orientation Administrative Support: Assist with FOCUS registration process; maintain accurate records for FOCUS registration fees; maintain FOCUS website; assist with payroll records for Orientation Assistant staff; point of contact for questions related to FOCUS program. Leadership & Volunteer Programs Administrative Support: Manage Leadership and Volunteer Programs website; manage registration for major volunteer initiatives; manage registration for the Leadership Lunch series; manage weekly volunteer programs newsletter.
