Job Summary:

The Executive Director of Financial Planning and Human Resources will be responsible for budgeting, financial planning and with the Dean, oeverall financial management of the law school. Compilation, management, analysis and reporting of key information reagarding the law school. Human Resources matters dealing with the law school. Student financial aid management; and Diversity awareness and development within the law school.

  • Budgeting - Construct basic financial models and framework for budget development; develop projections for endowment income. Work with senior law school administrators to develop their respective budgets.
  • Financial Analysis - Monitor law school operating budgets monthly.
  • Financial Aid - Track and monitor endowed and restricted scholarships.
  • Human Resources - Responsible for job postings, interviewing and testing of candidates. Updating personnel files. Host monthly Professional Development seminars for faculty and staff.

Job Summary:

 

  • The Office of Institutional Advancement Director of Communications fulfills the University's mission by promoting and marketing the University's image to its major audiences. This is done primarily to alumni, donors, church relations constituents, parent and Guild members. The Director also manages the communications and marketing of other areas on campus as needed, such as for the various colleges and athletics. The goal is to build the VU brand, convey information, reconnect audiences with Valpo, and motivate alumni and friends.
  • The Director of Communications will draw on solid experience in writing, editing, developing communications strategies and managing projects.
  • He or she will determine the goals of the department, define the audience(s) and craft messages and communications plan to attain the goals.
  • The Director also produces major University publications such as VALPO, the alumni magazine, VISIONS, the development newsletter and other college newsletters, and publications.
  • The Director of Communications will also help create communications materials for building relations with constituents and fundraising, such as case statements, talking points, brochures, and supporting print materials for special events, such as speeches, letters, etc.

Visiting Research Scientist in Radar or Aviation Meteorology - College of Arts and Sciences

Experience/Skills:
  • The ability to coordinate radar-related observational and research efforts with the project partners, meteorology community and department; possibly develop undergraduate research program and teach.
  • Technical expertise in radar data systems including development and testing of radar software and upgrades.
Job Summary:

 

  • The Kallay-Christopher Hall is home to 140 undergraduate meteorology majors and maintains a simultaneous dual-polarization 5-cm Doppler radar, radiosonde system and instrumented meteorological tower. The candidate will serve as the coordinator for radar-related observational and research efforts with MIT/Lincoln Laboratory, faculty members, staff, and undergraduate students.
  • Responsibilities include development and testing of radar software and upgrades, coordination of intense observational periods, development of an undergraduate research program in radar and aviation meteorology, coordination of radar software systems within the department for classrooms and research, and coordination of radar data sharing with the meteorology community.
  • The candidate may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses based on their abilities and area of expertise.
  • This position is non-tenure track.
  • This position is currently funded for one year but is expected to continue for an additional two years through collaboration with MIT/Lincoln Laboratory and a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Job Summary:

 

  • The Assistant Director must be able to function autonomously and be responsible for aggressive goals agreed upon in conjunction with the Director of Annual Giving for each program area.
  • The Assistant Director, Annual Giving Programs is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the VU Phone Program to generate support for identified University priorities.
  • In addition, the assistant director provides recommendations and support to the Annual Giving Director on all aspects of annual giving strategies, with focus on integrating the phone program solicitations with the overall annual giving program.
  • The Assistant Director is responsible for advising the Senior Class Gift committee each year in developing a successful fundraising campaign that will raise money and act as and educational tool that will begin to cultivate future gifts from members of the graduating class.
