HI, everygone. I was so surprised at this web page!! The
memories of Interlink come back to me. I really had fun with international students and teachers. Thanks a lot. It is very worthwhile time in my life. After I graduated from
Interlink, I entered Valparaiso University. The interesting classes in Interlink gave me motivation for study. Now, I came back to Japan and work and live in TOKYO. If you have a chance to come to Tokyo, let me know :) Yuko Inada '99 yukoinada@yahoo.co.jp
I was a student at Interlink in '97 and '98. It was
definitely a great experience. Once I was finished with my Interlink
classes I had no trouble following at the university level.
As much as I learned from the professors, I learned from
students in my classes. I shared my experiences with foreign
students from around the world. We came from different
cultures and backgrounds to learn English at Interlink, so
within the interactive, informal, and friendly atmosphere in
my classes we all got acquainted. So all of you that I know
and met, keep in touch. Toni Mestrov
I attended the Interlink program in 1997 and it was such an great opportunity to make international friends and learn English...Though it has been almost 3 years, I still miss my friends and teachers every single day...I miss Valpo's peaceful and beautiful fall...it is very good place for study...I wished I had studied more at that time...I am a graduate student at university now and I am learning "pastoral care-church counseling" so I am gonna be a counselor.I still keep in touch with most of my friends and teachers...and I want other friends to write me more when they see this bulletin...especially my friends from U.A.E. and other friends. Now the only reason that makes me sad is I am getting older than when I was in Interlink. My Korean friends who met in Valpo still meet every month...and some Japanese friends already visited me...since I ever came by Interlink, my important part of life already filled with memory about Interlink. I miss everybody. Plz keep in touch!!! Hee-Sun Kim Now, I am in Thailand. Well, I will become a professor here in Thailand. It is a good job for me, too. I think I will work in law firm later after I am getting familiar with new law. There is a lot of improvement after economic crisis. And well, I can study more in my field and get ready for barrister exam...another exam. I will keep in touch and will update my news soon, if there is change again. Chakrit Sonvongsa Hi, this is Abdulla Bu Ali if you guys remember me. I was just searching the net, and I found the INTERLINK web page. WoW, you guys did a huge work by doing this. I have been waiting for this to happen since I was in Valpo. I am now a full-time student at Michigan Tech. I'm really holding a respect for the English program in INTERLINK, and I really think that you guys have such a successful way to teach the international students. I don't have any noticeable problems in English right now and I'm excited that I'm in a good standard now because of you guys. Thanks to everybody. Life in Valpo has been a great memory for me. I finally realize that Valpo is one of the best places to be. LA is not a good place to live since it is so crowded. Hope you will have chance to visite LA while I am here. I will let you know why Valpo is better than LA. Paul Chen | | |
