English as a Second Language Evening Classes
INTERLINK Language Center at Valparaiso University offers
evening courses in English as a Second Language for adults
wishing to improve their English proficiency. These courses offer
students of English as a Second Language the opportunity to
expand their existing language abilities. It covers the four skills of
listening, speaking, reading, and writing, through a variety of
activities and topics. Emphasis is placed on effective
communication through listening and speaking.
Students who participate in the evening course will
receive 24 hours of classroom instruction with a qualified,
experienced teacher.

work to improve vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.

develop study skills and strategies for language learning.
meet students from different cultures and languages.
Schedule and Tuition
The classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
The Fall I 2006 session will begin on September 6 and end on October 18.
The tuition for each 6-week session is $240. In addition,
participants will need to buy a textbook and workbook.
A certificate will be given to each student upon successful
completion of the course.
Prospective students can use the online application form to enroll. Evening students do not need to submit any additional documents. A non-refundable registration fee of $50 is due with the application form. This fee will be applied to the tuition cost for the first session in which the student enrolls.
