What to Bring: Your Passport, I-94 card (a small white card that was given to you at the airport port of entry), I-20 or DS-2019, Your US address and phone number.
The special International Student Orientation includes sessions on:
- required SEVIS regulations,
- employment and insurance information,
- information on registration for classes,
- adjustment to U.S. culture,
- opening bank account,
- shopping trips,
- tours to VU library, computer labs, writing center, health center,
- meeting fellow new international students
It is very important that you attend the orientation to familiarize yourself with your rights and obligations as an international student.
This orientation is designed for new international students attending VU.
International students are required to attend BOTH the international student orientation and either FOCUS (for undergraduate and exchange students), Graduate School orientation, or Law school orientation.
