Orientation Program (Required):
Date: Wednesday, August 19, 2009 AND Thursday, August 20, 2009 (this is a two-day program, you must attend both days)
Time: 9 a.m.
Place: Office of International Programs, Room 209 Harre Union
What to Bring: your passport, I-94 card (a small white card that was given to you at the airport port of entry), I-20 or DS-2019.
The special International Student Orientation includes sessions on:
- required SEVIS regulations,
- employment and insurance information,
- information on registration for classes,
- adjustment to U.S. culture,
- opening bank account,
- shopping trips,
- tours to VU library, computer labs, writing center, health center,
- meeting fellow new international students
It is very important that you attend the orientation to familiarize yourself with your rights and obligations as an international student.
This orientation is designed for new international students attending VU for Summer and Fall.
