During the second week of Spring Break 2014, IT networking and infrastructure staff removed the SafeConnect system from the network. What does this mean for you?
- You will not be required to authenticate in order to use the network on campus. You can safely uninstall the policy key from your computer.
- IT strongly encourages you to continue installing any operating system updates, as well as maintaining up-to-date antivirus software. These steps are crucial to your safety and protection when using any internet services.
The networking and infrastructure group is working on a new method of authenticating to the network, and we expect it will be ready for rollout in summer 2014. More information will be provided at that time.
If you have questions about these changes or need assistance removing the policy key, please contact the IT Help Desk.
