IT is pleased to announce that all students will be migrated to the new Active Directory system on Monday, May 20th. In preparation for the change, student H: drive permissions will be set to "read only" on Sunday, May 19th at 8:00 p.m. Students will be able to download any files they need, but will not be able to upload files until after the migration is complete.
The migration process will not affect Gmail@Valpo, Blackboard Learn, DataVU, or other systems. Only the H: drive will be modified. All files currently in a user's H: drive will be available on the new system starting Monday, May 20th. To access the new H: drive over the summer, use a web browser on any computer or mobile device and navigate to: https://webstorage.valpo.edu
You will be prompted to login with your short ValpoNet username and password.
Computer labs and classrooms on campus will gradually be migrated to the new system over the summer. Some labs will continue to temporarily require use of the Novell full context to login. By the time classes begin in fall, all labs and classrooms will be on the new system. IT will post notices in each lab and classroom as they are migrated so you know which login to use.
If you have questions about the migration process or experience difficulty accessing your files after the migration, please contact the IT Help Desk by entering a ticket at webhelpdesk.valpo.edu, or call 219.464.5678.
