Beginning with Spring 2013 grads, limited access to DataVU will continue beyond the normal access period. Student academic and financial information will be available through the last day of the fall semester drop/add period (see the Registrar’s website for drop/add dates). After that day, your access will be changed to allow limited access for official transcript requests, listed in the Parent/Guest menu.
You will continue to have access to our Account Management System so that you can keep your password updated.
Valpo alumni are extended the courtesy of lifetime email accounts. You will be able to keep your Gmail@Valpo account indefinitely after graduation. If you wish to forward your Valpo email address to another account, instructions are available on the IT website or by contacting the Help Desk. Managers of email lists or Google groups should appoint an appropriate individual to take over list/group management.
All OneCard ID services are deactivated 7 days after graduation, including parking garage and door access, Dining Dollars, Crusader Cash, and library services. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the OneCard Office via email (onecard@valpo.edu) or phone (219.464.5131).
IMPORTANT! You will need to present a photo ID – such as your OneCard – when you pick up your diploma after graduation.
Your Blackboard Learn classes and network H: drive will be accessible through the last day of the fall semester drop/add period (see the Registrar’s website for drop/add dates). After that day, your access will be disabled and any saved files will be permanently inaccessible. Upload files from your network H: drive to your Google Drive, save them onto a CD or a USB flash drive from a lab computer on campus, or download files to a personal computer before your account is disabled.
Don’t forget to take advantage of software discounts on Microsoft or Adobe titles by visiting the Kivuto Solutions e-store. Access to the e-store will be disabled at the same time as other access.
Uninstall any software provided by IT for your use on the Valpo network, including the SafeConnect policy key and the SonicWALL NetExtender VPN client. The Help Desk can assist you with removing this software.
