GroupWise Sync - webOS

Follow these instructions to set up the link between the GroupWise Sync system and your webOS device.

  1. Launch the email app.
  2. In the app menu, go into Preferences & Accounts.
  3. Select “Add an account.”
  4. Enter your Valpo email address and password, then press “sign in.”
  5. When an error message displays, press “OK” then “manual setup.”
  6. In the mail type options select “Exchange.”
  7. Fill in the incoming mail server: https://gwsync.valpo.edu.
  8. Leave the domain field blank.
  9. Enter your ValpoNet username; the password should already be filled in.
  10. Press “sign in.”
  11. Go back into Preferences & Accounts.
  12. Select “Exchange” and change the name to “Valpo,” your name, or your email address.
  13. Set other preferences as desired.

 

Note: the initial sync process may take a longer time depending on the number of messages in your account, number of contacts in your addressbook, number of appointments in your calendar, etc.
