What is Lyris?

Lyris is used for mass emailing and email addresses are usually obtained from a Colleague report. The report can be downloaded into Excel; however, it must be saved as a CSV file to import into Lyris.

The file must (1) have only the field names that exist in Lyris and (2) have no blank cells.

Requesting Access

1. The user must request Lyris access from IMC. They manage the software.
2. The designated person from IMC will then create the account for the user.

Logging In

After being approved for a Lyris Manager account, users will login to http://lyris.valpo.edu/ using their full name alias (John.Smith@valpo.edu) and Lyris password. This password is not linked to your ValpoNet account at this time.

Changing Password

1. Click on the "Members" tab.
2. Then click on "View Members."
3. Find your email address and click on it.
4. There should be 6 tabs that show up.
5. Click on the Settings tab.
6. Change your password to whatever you would like in both the "Enter new password" and "Verify new password" fields. Make sure they match exactly.
7. Click "Save."
