Mailing lists (often called listsrvs) are managed at VU by Majordomo software. E-mail sent to the list reaches all group members. To send mail to the list, address it to the listname@valpo.edu.

Mailing lists for groups other than classes must be applied for. Make requests for mailing lists not associated with courses via e-mail to the IT Help Desk.

Majordomo imposes a 40,000 character limit on the size of mail, including attachments, sent out to mailing lists. Faculty or staff who need to distribute large attachments should consider a shared drive or web pages.
