This committee serves as an advanced user working group for those employees of the University who are heavily engaged in Web and electronic communication work. The group's main function is to serve as a vehicle for collaboration and coordination between these professionals and to assure alignment of activities with institutional strategies, priorities, and standards. The second key function of the group is to provide counsel, recommendations, and feedback on all matters of information technology services and resources (e.g., policies, needs, and strategic priorities) related to the Web and electronic communication activities of the University. This committee is advisory to the Provost and to the Chief Information Officer. It also serves as a communication and operationl bridge to the Marketing Committee.

This committee provides counsel, recommendations, and feedback on high-level issues of institutional policy and strategic priority. With members drawn from each of the IT advisory committee outlines above, the Technology Council provides particular counsel and recommendations on policy and priority when there is disagreement on recommendation and direction between these advisory groups. This committee is advisory to the Provost and Chief Information Officer.
This committee will set institutional priorities for major Web initiatives and assure alignment with institutional strategies and standards. Providing a crisp decision-making structure for moving Web initiatives forward with appropriate timeliness. Assure alignment of Web decision-making and prioritization with the University's overall technology, communication, and marketing governance structures. The Vice President of Marketing and Communication, the Executive Director of University Relations, the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Web Services, and the Director of Communication comprise membership. Collectively this group provides bridges to all of the IT, communication, and marketing governance committees to the President's Cabinet and Council of Deans.
