Early Move In

Housing should have sent you your dorm assignments.  Early move in will take place on Sunday, August 17th from 7 pm - 9 pm (CST).  Staff members from IT will be on hand at your dorms along with your Resident Assistants (RA's).

Valpo has lots of places to grab dinner with your family before you move in.  Several websites can help you with your selections.  www.valpodining.com showcases some of Valparaiso's fine dining establishments.  This link to Yahoo Yellow Pages shows restaurants close to campus.

There ae also Target, WalMart and Walgreens near to campus for any last minute purchases.

Please feel free to email me if you need more information about move in.  I'll post more information as it becomes available.

Rotation selection

You should have received an email with the descriptions of the seven first year rotations.  The list can also be found here - Rotation Descriptions.  Please rank them (1st choice, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and send that information back (via email) to Jen Gregory no later than July 31st.  Every effort will be made to provide you with the rotation that most closely fits your preferences, however, rotations will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis.  This should encourage you to respond as soon as possible with your preferences! If your email address does not contain your name, please also include your name in the body of the email.

Early Move In

Early move in to campus will take place on Sunday, August 17th.  I do not have any more information at this point.  Campus housing is working to coordinate the various early move in groups and should have specific information for IT Fellows no later than August 1st.  You'll receive an email from me as soon as I know more.  You can also check this page for information.

HR Paperwork - You'll need to bring...

On your first day of training, HR and Payroll will be stopping by with forms for you to fill out.  One of those forms is the I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) Form.  Please look at the List of Acceptable Documents and bring the originals with you to campus.   (Please note - You must have the original).

You will also fill out a W-4 form.  If you're not sure whether you are exempt or how many allowances to take, you might want to check with one of your parents.

All employees are paid by direct deposit.  You will need to bring banking information for your direct deposit.  Payroll can deposit to any financial institution.  Your pay can be deposited into a checking or a savings account.  If you deposit into a checking account please bring a voided check.  If you do not have a check or if you want to deposit into a savings account ask your bank to supply a letter (on their letterhead) stating the type of account you have, their bank routing number and the account number.  Payroll cannot accept deposit slips.
