IT Fellows Program: At a Glance

Valparaiso University’s IT Fellows program is a selective, nationally recognized, opportunity for students to work in a setting that will afford them prestigious opportunities and teach them valuable skills.

IT Fellows are immersed in the world of technology and customer service from their first day in the program. If selected into the program, students participate in a five day training academy to prepare them for the program.

After completing the training Academy, students begin their cohort rotations: five week work periods with the core Valparaiso University IT departments. These rotations give Fellows extensive experience working on projects including digital video editing, web design, and hardware repair.  

Fellows use their first year experience as a foundation for the remainder of their time in the program. They will select internships, both within VU and externally, based on the type of projects they prefer.

With this structure, the program best facilitates the growth of students to prepare them for our ever increasingly digital world. This unique blend of professional preparation and hands-on experience will give Fellows a competitive edge over their peers as they begin their careers.
