Sendmail

Mike Tucker

The GroupWise account and mail migration was completed in early September and only a few last details remain to fully transition from the old mail server to GroupWise.  As one of the final steps, we plan to decommission and turn off the Sendmail server on October 15, 2007.

You may ask yourself “Why is this important to me?”  This may be important to you if you have address books that you have not yet moved from the old system to GroupWise.  After October 15, address books stored on the old system will no longer be retrievable.

This does not affect mail that was received on the old system and subsequently migrated to GroupWise.  Any mail or address books that were moved over to GroupWise will remain in GroupWise.

This shutdown also does not affect SunOne Calendar although we encourage you to migrate any remaining calendars as soon as possible.  We will be scheduling a shutdown date for SunOne Calendar in the near future.

Please visit the GroupWise website for tools and tip sheets on moving address books to GroupWise and for migrating SunOne calendar data.   The website also contains the current GroupWise training schedule, other helpful tip sheets, and a link to the GroupWise users forum.
