Upper-class Merit Awards
For students who have worked hard to excel in law school, we offer Upper-class Merit Awards. Students have an opportunity to increase their scholarships, and students who did not receive a scholarship in their first-year of study may earn one in future years.
The process is rather simple, and, roughly follows the system used for awarding graduation honors. The top 5 students, based on class standing, receive a full tuition scholarship. Students in the top 5% receive a scholarship of roughly 80% of tuition. Students in the top 10% receive an award of roughly 50% of tuition. The top 15% earn 30%, and the top 20% earn 20% scholarships.
The system for awarding upper-class Merit Awards is automatic. All continuing students who qualify are awarded merit awards. Merit awards are only available to full-time students. Those starting in the part-time program who later transfer into the full-time program will have to complete one year of full-time law school to qualify for any merit scholarships.
