Valparaiso University School of Law Scholarship Possibilities
We offer millions of dollars through a variety of endowed/donated scholarships to assist students with funding their education. For scholarships, your consideration is automatic. For students who qualify for scholarship, notification is included the letter of admission. Since scholarships and funding are limited, we encourage you to apply early.
Valparaiso University School of Law awards scholarships on a rolling basis. Our merit scholarships have a three year value range from $1,000 up to full tuition plus $30,000 stipends ($10,000 per year). Entering students receive scholarships based upon a variety of factors which include their cumulative GPA, plus LSAT average and life experience, disability, strength of undergraduate institution, strength of major and other competitive factors. Scholarships are renewed each year for students who maintain the required GPA at the end of the school year. Students also have the ability to receive scholarships in their second and third year of law school if they are in the top 20 percent of their class.
Merit awards are only available to full-time students. Those starting in the part-time program who later transfer into the full-time program will have to complete one year of full-time law school to qualify for any merit scholarships.
Additional information on non merit scholarships is also available.
