Admissions Timeline
Here are some important dates to help you stay on track while applying to Valparaiso University School of Law:
- Applications for admission to the first-year class are accepted each year beginning September 1.
- If you have yet to take the LSAT, or await your LSAT results, you may still submit your application. Doing so actually results in a faster completion of your application.
- We have rolling admissions but June 1 is the preferred Application Deadline.
Apply as early as possible - merit scholarship awards are made at the moment of admission.
Admission offers are made only for the fall semester of the year.
Admitted Student Information
Tuition deposits are required to hold your seat.
- The first deposit is due on or before April 1.
- The second deposit is due on or before June 1.
- Dual Degree candidates can have their seat deposits waived upon matricualtion to their respective program.
An admitted student must submit an official, final undergraduate transcript, showing the receipt of a degree or degrees, and all academic work undertaken prior to the date of registration.
The official transcript must be mailed from the conferring institution directly to the Valpo Law Admissions Office to be received by July 31st.
All admissions offers are conditioned upon the receipt of a final undergraduate transcript and may be revoked if the official transcript certifying receipt of bachelor's degree is not received.
[Note: Valparaiso University School of Law requires an official transcript for all incoming 1L student files. The transcripts sent to LSAC for the LSDAS report and transcripts sent to the Graduate school (if you are a dual degree candidate), DO NOT satisfy this requirement.]
