Student registration for the 2013 Patent Law Interview Program is currently open and closes on Monday, March 4th.
This is a nationwide interview program that targets patent law employers, rising 2L and 3L students, and students in Intellectual Property LLM programs. The program will be August 1 and August 2 in Chicago. Students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering or a technical science should consider registering for the program. Webinar: Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) – “Going In-House – Tips for a Successful Transition to Corporate Counsel.”
On February 19, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., EDT, the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) is sponsoring a Webinar panel titled “Going In-House – Tips for a Successful Transition to Corporate Counsel.” This panel is directed to law students and lawyers. The panel will explore the transition to corporate counsel by: Lesley Boveri, Senior IP Attorney, IP Compliance and Transactions, SAP; Yoncha Kundupoglu, Director, Licensing In Technicolor; Tiep Nguyen, Director, FMSA Patent Center (FPC), Fujitsu Mgmt Services of America, Inc.; Juan Otero, Corporate Counsel and Secretary, Energy Revovery, Inc.; Aurelia Flores Roch, Senior Counsel, Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC); Jim Zeng, IP Compliance Counsel for Asia Pacific, SAP. Students can participate in the program by “dialing in” (for more information on how to participate, please see the forwarded information below).
Students are also encouraged to join the FCBA at (http://www.fedcirbar.org/olc/pub/LVFC/cpages/homepage/homepage.jsp). The FCBA is the national organization for the bar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington DC. We sponsor numerous intellectual property law related programs relevant to law students and award scholarships. We also hold a national conference every year and publish articles through the Federal Circuit Bar Journal and FCBA Newsletter. Notably, all of our webinars are now offered for free to members. And, students may join the FCBA for free.
