As the foreclosure crisis deepens, Indiana homeowners are in greater need of assistance from trained housing counselors and attorneys. “Defending Foreclosures, Saving Homes” speakers have extensive experience in predatory lending and foreclosure litigation, workouts, and bankruptcy.
Conference participants will learn about the latest developments in foreclosure and bankruptcy, loss mitigation and mortgage servicer practices. Attorneys interested in representing homeowners will learn the nuts and bolts of the Indiana foreclosure process, explore effective claims and defenses available to homeowners, and learn how to present workout and loan modification proposals to mortgage servicers. Housing counselors will learn more about judicial foreclosure in Indiana and options available to homeowners at each stage of the process. Architects of the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network will be on hand to explain the IFPN initiatives—including the recently established hotline and referral network.

The registration deadline is March 15, 2008.
Registrations postmarked after this date will be accepted on a space-available basis.
CLE and CEU Information
This conference has been approved for 5.3 hours of CLE credit by the Indiana Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Attorneys seeking CLE credit are responsible for self-reporting to the appropriate MCLE Board or Commission. A Uniform Certification of Attendance form will be included in your conference materials. Continuing education credit for housing counselors is pending.
