First Year Law Students
Scholarships are offered to applicants at the same time that they are offered admission to Valparaiso University School of Law. Students do not need to complete a separate scholarship application to be considered for and offered a scholarship. Since scholarship funds are limited, applicants are encouraged to complete their application for admission by the priority deadline date of March 1.
Valparaiso Law merit scholarships can cover all 3 years of law school in amounts that vary up to the full cost of tuition. When reviewing applications, the Scholarship Committee considers a variety of factors including academic achievement, an individual’s work, leadership, and service experiences as well as other meritorious accomplishments. Scholarships are renewed at the end of each academic year as long as the student maintains the required cumulative GPA as noted in their letter of acceptance.
