Gubernatorial candidate to speak at Valparaiso Law

Indiana gubernatorial candidate and Valparaiso University graduate Jill Long Thompson will speak at the University’s School of Law at 5 p.m. March 20.
Thompson’s appearance, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Valparaiso University School of Law Democrats. For more information, contact the organization’s president, Jennifer Sheetz, at Jennifer.Sheetz@valpo.edu.
Thompson served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1989 to 1995 and as U.S. Under Secretary of Agriculture from 1995 to 2001. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business at Valparaiso and served as an assistant professor in Valparaiso’s College of Business Administration before being elected to Congress.
The address will take place in Benson Lecture Hall at Wesemann Hall, 656 S. Greenwich St. A reception will follow the address.
