Professor Paul H. Brietzke, age 68, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Professor Susan Adams (J.D., VU, 1990), and their son Dr. Colin A. Brietzke.
Contributions of time or money may be made to any of three groups in which Professor Brietzke played a supportive role throughout his long career as a professor of international protection of human rights: Amnesty International (www.amnesty.org), Human Rights Watch (www.hrw.org), and Oxfam America (www.oxfamamerica.org).
The University will hold a memorial in honor of Professor Brietzke on Sunday, April 7, at 4:00 p.m., in the Valparaiso University Center for the Arts. Alumni and friends are cordially invited.
The Valparaiso University Law Review will publish tributes to Professor Brietzke in Volume 46; Professor Gaffney (edward.gaffney@valpo.edu) will coordinate these published memories of our colleague; please contact him if you wish to write a brief tribute or to receive a copy of the reprint.
