Law Grad Finale Open House

Wednesday, April 30, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wesemann Cafe

One-stop shopping for the May 2014 graduates to learn everything you need to know about graduation. This event is designed to ensure things go smoothly as you prepare for the May Commencement ceremony and life after graduation.

Pick-up your cap and gown, participate in the mandatory financial aid exit counseling sessions, enter to win prizes, enjoy refreshments, receive your class gifts from the Steering Committee and obtain information about preparing for the bar exam.

Participation at this event is REQUIRED as this is the only location these services will be provided.

What you can expect to accomplish at the Law Grad Finale:

•    Pick-up caps, gowns & hoods

•    Receive graduation line-up & hooding instructions

•    Review your name reader cards for graduation

•    Receive your mini-class composite & glass gift

•    Receive commencement photo details from Grad Images

•    Obtain graduation information for family members

•    Complete the Graduate Survey

•    Learn what to do with your law school email and document accounts

•    Obtain information about bar prep

•    WIN PRIZES including Graduation Diploma Frames

•    Participate in mandatory financial aid exit counseling for federal student loan borrowers

(Two exit counseling sessions offered: Tabor Classroom at either 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.)

Trial Advocacy Tryouts

Tryouts will take place on Friday, April 11, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, April 12, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, April 13, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., in Stride Courtroom.

SBA Elections

SBA Class of 2015 and 2016 Representative Elections will be held starting Monday, April 14 at 8:00 a.m., until Tuesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.

All elections will be conducted through TWEN on Westlaw.

Fiesta Del Sol

Friday, April 11, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wesemann Café

Everyone is welcomed to come and enjoy Latino culture, music and food. This event is sponsored by the Latino Law Student Association.

Ambulance Chase 5k Fun Run

The Fitness Club is once again holding the Ambulance Chase 5k Fun Run. This event will be held on April 12, 10:00 a.m., at the ARC. All proceeds from the event will go to the Crisis Center in Gary, Indiana. Students and faculty can register for the event on April 7, 8, 9, & 10 in the atrium during chapel break, or the day of the event from 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Early registration is $10, and day of registration is $15. Scholarship Opportunities with the American Red Cross

Know a student who is trying to build their resume and gain valuable experience? With programs like the Student Leaders Save Lives Scholarship from the American Red Cross, students can gain meaningful leadership and community service experience.

Students who host a successful blood drive May 15 through August 15, 2014 will receive a $50 gift card, a letter of recommendation from the Red Cross and a chance to win a college scholarship!
