Valparaiso University Law Review Selection Process The Valparaiso University Law Review conducts a writing competition at the end of the spring semester for those students wishing to become Notewriters. Students will be asked to write a Case Comment regarding a recent Supreme Court case decision. Interested students are encouraged to pick up a packet from the Law Review office on the morning after their last spring final examination. After receiving the packet of materials, students will have three weeks to complete the Case Comment. The completed version must be mailed or dropped off at the Law Review Office before or on the day it is due. No late submissions will be considered. More information regarding time-lines and instructions will be included in the packet of information. The Case Comments will be judged by members of the Editorial Board, and judging is anonymous. The top nine Case Comments will be given invitations based on score alone. The remaining 16 positions are based on the Case Comment score and the student's grade point average.
