The Hispanic Law Student Association (HLSA) promotes the professional needs and goals of Hispanic/Latino law students. It serves as a support group to discuss the role of the Hispanic/Latino attorney, both in the legal and the Hispanic/Latino Community.
Membership is open to everyone. HLSA considers diversity an asset, diversity instills values of cultural and racial sentivity as well as serving as a bridge between Hispanic/Latino Americans and non-Hispanic/Latino Americans. For these reasons, the purpose of the organization is not to isolate Hispanic/Latino students, but to organize activites within the Law School community to educate other students about Hispanic/Latino issues.
