The Academic Success Center supports all VU students in achieving academic success. Currently, the ASC serves as a referral system for campus-wide academic support services and resources including: tutoring, help sessions, study group sessions, academic advisement, learning assistance, learning enrichment workshops, career planning, student support groups, and disability support services. The ASC provides a web-based Academic Support & Resource Directory and phone referrals to assist students in locating and using a variety of academic assistance available in departments, professional colleges, learning centers and other campus offices. Additionally, the ASC coordinates Peer Tutoring services and the VU Strategies for Success course. In collaboration with other offices, the ASC works to provide academic support services that benefit the learning needs of students and promote their academic goals.
The Academic Support & Resource Directory assists students in finding campus-wide academic assistance to meet their individual learning needs.
The Peer Tutoring Program serves students who are seeking one-on-one study assistance with their undergraduate coursework for courses in which they are currently enrolled.
VU Strategies for Success is a learning strategies and study skills course designed to guide students through discovery and integration of the best practices to achieve their college goals.
