well in secondary school coursework while involved in various extracurricular activities. They are thinkers,
contributors, and leaders. They seek solid preparation for their roles after college - in their
employment, church, homelife and community. Faculty mentors include prize-winning authors and business professionals,
engineers and nurses, ministers and lawyers, journalists and doctors. Approximately 90 percent of the full-time faculty hold doctorates or
terminal degrees in their fields. They come together at VU from various backgrounds, with the sole purpose of
sharing their knowledge with students who are ready to be challenged and willing to question.
