USING THE NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY IN COMMUNICATION CHANNELS

The University is required to include the statement of nondiscrimination in any bulletins, announcements, publications, catalogs, application forms, recruitment materials, and "official" publications of the University that are made available to students or applicants.

In addition, a reference to the policy must be included in all other written advertising used to reach prospective students.

As publications for each department are revised, the University's Nondiscrimination Policy must be included in all departmental publications, including brochures, pamphlets, and guidebooks, describing or inviting participation in programs at Valparaiso University.

With the increase in desktop publishing, it is important for individual departments to be aware of this requirement and to include the Nondiscrimination Policy in departmental publications.

There is no requirement that the text of the Nondiscrimination Policy be placed on departmental web pages.  A link to the Nondiscrimination Policy is located on the Valparaiso University homepage.
