The Valparaiso 150th Logo
The Valparaiso University 150th logo has been developed as the primary identifier during the sesquicentennial year and is intended to be a template for other anniversary celebrations for the University. The 150th design listed as Diagram A should be used for all print, broadcast media (radio, TV, advertising), web, and any other related correspondence in lieu of the University seal. The version represented with the seal is for print (Diagram A), and without the University seal for merchandise (Diagram B). The timeframe established for utilization of all versions of this logo is January 2008 through December 2009. An exception for this logo will apply to ceremonial documents where the primary Valparaiso University seal will take precedence.
Other examples of exceptions are as follows: on diplomas, formal documents, and on other formal articles where appropriate.
The logo consists of three primary elements - the University seal combined with the typography 1 5 0, optically centered to one another with a ribbon adorning the middle as an institutional identifier and highlighting the celebration time frame. Diagram B is identical, with the exception of the seal shown in Diagram A.
The logo should not be used smaller than 1" in width under any circumstances. It loses legibility when smaller than 1", reflecting poorly on the standards of the University.
