COLLEGE OF NURSING GRAPHIC & TRADEMARK STANDARDS

Preface: These standards are intended for use as a supplement to the overall Valparaiso University Graphics Standards Guidelines. The primary application of these standards is to the design and production of any College of Nursing logo apparel and products (stationery and business card standards are found here.)  Secondarily, these standards also state the appropriate manner in which the Valparaiso University College of Nursing may be identified and referenced.

  1. Generally, only images and trademarks outlined in the Valparaiso University Graphics Standards Guidelines are acceptable.  These images and wordmarks may be made specific to the College of Nursing by including "College of Nursing" below the image/logo/seal in acceptable font and format (see, e.g., the two-color "Valpo-V" design for MBA in the manual).
  2. The official name, identity, and wordmark is "Valparaiso University College of Nursing."
  3. A non-exclusive list of unacceptable graphics and wordmarks:
    1. VUCON
    2. Any reference that omits a designation for university (e.g., Valparaiso College of Nursing)
    3. Any other unofficial mark, generic mark, or abridgement of approved marks
  4. For specific College of Nursing design approvals and questions, contact Dean Janet Brown at 219-464-5289 or Director of Communications, Heather Taylor, at heather.taylor@valpo.edu.
