Admission requirements for international students

  • Completed International Student Graduate Management Application (a mailed application may be sent to the MBA Office, but may delay your application).
  • $50.00 Application Fee - Paid by credit card on the Online application.  You may also send check or money order payable to Valparaiso University to the MBA Office; this may delay your application.
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation. Online Recommendation: - https://www.valpo.edu/grad/forms/recommendation   Complete the Student section, listing your recommender's contact information.  We will contact your Recommender to complete an online recommendation.  Letters of Recommendation may also be emailed directly to our office at mba @valpo.edu or you may choose to mail the following form, which may delay your application.
  • TOEFL 575 (230 computer or 90 iBT) or IELTS Level 6.5.  Please use Institution code 1874 and your score sheet will be sent to us electronically.
  • Cover Letter. A one-page personal statement that states why you wish to obtain an MBA from Valpo. This can be emailed directly to our office at mba@valpo.edu.
  • Official third-party transcript evaluation from World Education Services (WES); Select ICAP course-by-course transcript evaluation.  An applicant's international credentials will not be reviewed for admission consideration until a WES transcript evaluation is received.  Transcripts should be submitted to WES showing completion of bachelor's degree. www.wes.org.
  • GMAT. Valparaiso University's institution code is 1874. To register for the GMAT or for more information, please go to www.gmat.com. Please note that a minimum score of 500 is required.
  • Affidavit of Financial Support. This Affidavit indicates that you have the full cost of studying at Valparaiso University available to you. The form can be found here.
  • A copy of a current passport showing your full name and date of birth.  This can be scanned and emailed to mba@valpo.edu.
  • All application materials are due no later than two months prior to the intended start date.  Electronic submission is preferred.  If you must submit written materials, please send them directly to the following address to expedite the application process:
