The Department provides Undergraduate Teachings Assistants (UTA) for all of its first and second year courses. The UTA work closely with the instructors to provide supplemental small group instruction and targeted private tutoring. If you are enrolled in one of the following courses, and feel that you need additional help, please talk with your instructor about working with the UTA. The first and second year courses for which UTA are available are: CS 157, CS 158, MATH 110, MATH 114, MATH 124, MATH 131, MATH 132, MATH 234, and MATH 253.

The Department also maintains a list of students interested in working as private tutors. To arrange for a private tutor, please contact the Department Administrative Assistant, joan.steffen@valpo.edu, or telephone 219-464-5182.  Mrs. Steffen will provide several names with whom you can negotiate meetings and pay.
