Alex Capaldi Attends SAMSI Workshop: Alex Capaldi, assistant professor of Mathematics and Computer Science, attended the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute's (SAMSI) Opening Workshop on Uncertainty Quantification in Research, in Triangle Park, North Carolina, September 7-10th, 2011. Professor Capaldi presented a poster on "Model Selection for an Outbreak of Influenza in a Boarding School", based on continuing research from his doctoral thesis.
