On Thursday evening, April 7th, Purdue North Central hosted a poetry contest. In a field of 40 plus entrants, our retired colleague, Verne Sanford, won 3rd prize. Not only that, but during the period when the judges were deliberating, four people from the sizeable audience came to Verne at different times with compliments of how his poem had touched them.
